A Melting Pot of Cultures Turkey’s unique position, straddling both Europe and Asia, has made it a melting pot of cultures. This fusion is evident in its architecture, traditions, and lifestyle, offering a rich tapestry of experiences.
Historical Richness Home to ancient civilizations, including the Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, and Ottomans, Turkey boasts numerous UNESCO World Heritage Sites. From the historic Hagia Sophia and the ruins of Ephesus to the fairy chimneys of Cappadocia, Turkey is a living museum.
Natural Wonders Turkey’s geographical diversity offers breathtaking landscapes. The white travertine terraces of Pamukkale, the pristine beaches of the Turkish Riviera, and the majestic mountains of Eastern Anatolia are just a few highlights.
Culinary Delights Turkish cuisine is a delightful fusion of Central Asian, Middle Eastern, and Balkan flavors. Whether it’s savoring a traditional Turkish kebab, indulging in baklava, or enjoying a cup of Turkish tea or coffee, your taste buds are in for a treat.

Turkey provides services in European standards with its modern hospitals, trained manpower, specialist doctors, technological infrastructure, and broad experience.
In this sense, Turkey has world-renowned doctors who are experts in their fields. It provides services in many branches both with private health institutions and hospitals in various categories. The medical services offered in Turkey are generally as follows;
-Eye surgery,
-IVF applications,
-Aesthetic and Plastic Operations,
-Cardiovascular Diseases
-Hair Transplantation
Foreign patients who applied to public and private hospitals in Turkey in 2010 preferred private hospitals (92%) and public hospitals (8%).
Due to the large population of specialist doctors and the exchange rate, Turkey has become a country that provides the highest quality service in Europe at the most affordable price.
The most preferred fields are ophthalmology, dentistry, orthopedics, cardiology, oncology, plastic surgery, and neurosurgery.
For this year 2023, 80% of the patients have been treated in these branches.
The most preferred medical branches may change every year for different reasons.
The reasons for this change may be due to the health tourist himself/herself or the internal and external dynamics of the country serving. At the same time, it also depends on the doctor or hospital variable. It is possible to list the components of the possible treatments in Turkey as follows:
-Adequately equipped hospitals (technology, personnel, price, etc.)
-Doctors specialised on their fields,
-Medical companies, health tourism companies (auxiliary institutions/organisations),
-Thermal hotels, SPA / Wellness centres,
-Rehabilitation centres for the elderly and disabled
Turkey is the world’s one of the top ten travel destinations, welcoming more than 35 million visitors every year. It is a notably friendly, beautiful, and culturally rich country. Here are 6 reasons why Turkey should be the holiday destination for your next vacation:
Accommodation: Turkey has the most amazing luxury and boutique hotels in the world. On the other hand, you may find the most beautiful hotels at very affordable rates due to the intense competition among the travel agencies.
Historical Places: Turkey’s history of hosting different civilisations goes back to 25.000 years. The Hittits, Hellens, Romans, Byzantines, Seljuks and the Ottomans as well as a great number of other civilisations have risen and fallen here through thousands of years, leaving behind a multitude of historical sites.
Special Activities: With nearly 8400 km of coastline, water sports and yachting are big favourites for the visitors. Hiking, rock climbing, hot air ballooning, mountaineering, white water rafting, and biking, rowing, and skiing are a few of the prominent activities that can be done in Turkey.
What More?
Turkish Cuisine: Turkish food is recently world famous, and rightly so. Everyone mentions their credits over Turkish food cuisine. Not only that, the moderately priced gourmet dinner and wine is still easy to do. Then there are Turkish Tea and Turkish Coffee.
Entertainment: Sit on a long table in a taverna in Istanbul, Kusadasi, Bodrum, Antalya, Marmaris or any other cities; order a glass of beer, wine or pungent Turkish Raki and enjoy the songs and stories of people. Turkish people revel in good food, good friends, good times, and a good nightlife.
Sea, Sand and Sun: The unique Mediterranean climate and beautiful nature of Turkey allow almost 6 months of summertime in the Southern parts. The sandy beaches are splendid and the sea, especially the Aegean coastline, are the most amazing. It is a mildly cool sea that allows a refreshing experience. A blue voyage is the most favourite way to visit all the beaches with a yacht while enjoying the turquoise sea.

Predating Stonehenge by 6,000 years, Turkey’s stunning Gobekli
Tepe upends the conventional view of the rise of civilization
Six miles from Urfa, an ancient city in southeastern Turkey, Klaus Schmidt
has made one of the most startling archaeological discoveries of our time:
massive carved stones about 11,000 years old, crafted and arranged by prehistoric
people who had not yet developed metal tools or even pottery.
The megaliths
predate Stonehenge by some 6,000 years. The place is called Gobekli Tepe,
and Schmidt, a German archaeologist who has been working here more than a
decade, is convinced it’s the site of the world’s oldest temple.
“Guten Morgen,” he says at 5:20 a.m. when his van picks me up at my hotel in
Urfa. Thirty minutes later, the van reaches the foot of a grassy hill and parks
next to strands of barbed wire. We follow a knot of workmen up the hill to
rectangular pits shaded by a corrugated steel roof—the main excavation site.
In the pits, standing stones, or pillars, are arranged in circles. Beyond, on the
hillside, are four other rings of partially excavated pillars. Each ring has a
roughly similar layout: in the center are two large stone T-shaped pillars
encircled by slightly smaller stones facing inward.
The tallest pillars tower 16
feet and, Schmidt says, weigh between seven and ten tons.
As we walk among
them, I see that some are blank, while others are elaborately carved: foxes,
lions, scorpions and vultures abound, twisting and crawling on the pillars’
broad sides.
